Following their recent videos in which they have recreated epic training montages from famous movies starring Sylvester Stallone, Jackie Chan and Michael B. Jordan, YouTube’s Buff Dudes—aka brothers Brandon and Hudson White—attempt the workouts performed by characters in some of their favorite anime.

They start off with the “rope and tree chest press,” an improvised weighted pulley system inspired by the series One Piece. “It is so crazy how a lot of these simple DIY setups give you such an amazing workout,” says Hudson. “My chest is feeling super pumped right now.”

Next up is the One Punch Man workout; a popular fitness challenge among YouTubers. Within the show, the hero Saitama uses a strict daily regime of 100 pushups, 100 situps, 100 squats and a 6-mile run, to reach his maximum potential and achieve the ability to fell any enemy with a single strike. Will the Buff Dudes be able to do the same?

While they just about get through the pushups and squats, they each fail to complete 100 situp reps. “My abs are cramping,” says Brandon. “I just can’t do it.” And by the time it comes to the running portion of the workout, the boys are ready to give up. “I think the One Punch Man has got us beat,” says Hudson.

Finally, the Buff Dudes attempt the “longest squat” from One Piece; standing astride two haystacks, with a weight suspended from their waists, they must try to complete as many weighted squats without falling into the gap. And after the squat-heavy One Punch Man workout, it’s not long before the guys are feeling the fatigue in their glutes and calling it a day.
