Emma Heming Willis took her daughters out for a mommy & me adventure in celebration of their dad, Bruce Willis, and it was absolutely as adorable as it sounds. The three girls headed to Hollywood to enjoy a day full of stops inspired by the Die Hard star, with Emma sharing a few sweet and silly moments with the world.
The 45-year-old first took Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, 9, to see Bruce’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Emma snapped a shot of the moment for her Instagram Story, which showed four sets of sneaker-clad feet positioned around The Sixth Sense actor’s star.
The girls’ next stop on their Bruce-themed adventure was Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum on Hollywood Boulevard. Emma recorded a video of her daughters walking up to their dad’s wax figure, with Evelyn goofily looking back at the camera to say, “Guys, it’s Dad!” Much to Mabel and Emma’s amusement, the 9-year-old preceded to wag her finger at her “dad” while jokingly warning, “You better be on your best behavior!”
The youngest Willis girls then posed for a photo with Bruce’s wax replica, which Emma captioned, “When in Hollywood 😁.” Her next Story post was a throwback photo from 2018, which showed her and her daughters posing with the wax Bruce. “We’ve done this before,” the mom of two wrote, adding “#ProudFamVibes.” We’ll never get over how wholesome the Willis family truly is — it’s beyond endearing.

Willis’ Step Back From the Public Eye
The Willis family revealed their beloved patriarch’s aphasia diagnosis and consequent retirement from acting in a March 2022 Instagram post. Co-authored and posted by Emma, Demi, and his eldest daughters, the announcement reads, “As a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities.”
The message reveals Bruce’s decision to retire from acting due to the condition, and that it’s a “really challenging time for our family.” The Willis-Heming-Moore women ended the announcement by honoring their favorite guy through and through: “As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up’ and together we plan to do just that.”

His Worsening Condition
In February 2023, the Willis and Moore women banded together again to share an update about their beloved patriarch’s medical outlook. “Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD),” reads the group announcement shared on Instagram.
“Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces,” the women wrote before adding that while “painful … it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.” They now focus their energy on spending as much time as possible with the 68-year-old and celebrating his life while navigating the incredibly difficult diagnosis.
