Getting kids to agree on something is like pulling teeth — except more painful. If you’ve ever gone to multiple drive-thrus to pick up different fast food orders for your kids because that was easier than getting them to just pick one place already, then you know exactly what I’m talking about. In a new video for Tubi posted on Instagram, the Deadpool star talks about his favorite thing about being a dad. “You know, one of the things that I love most about being a dad is reading bedtime stories,” Reynolds says in the most soothing voice on the video. “Every night. To four children who almost never agree on which story they want to hear.” Ah yes, the fighting-over-what-book-to-read part of the bedtime routine, a classic!

He continues, “So I wind up reading four different stories, sometimes more than once.” Yup! How else can you make everyone happy?

“So many wonderful hours…gone!” he jokes. “Poof! So, we decided to make an entire show about it.” This sounds like a show every parent will be able to relate to!

  • ‘Bedtime Stories With Ryan’ Is Out Now

    He’s referring to his new series, Bedtime Stories With Ryan on the Maximum Effort Channel on Tubi and on Fubo. He shared a trailer for the show on Instagram on June 15, where he wore cozy pajamas in a warm house, explaining, “I wanna tell you a bedtime story.” 

    He captioned the video, “The idea for a show made to help everyone fall asleep was born the same day as my fourth child. I can’t wait for you to watch Bedtime Stories, premiering June 20th on @MaximumEffort Channel on @fubotv.”

    Reynolds is dad to daughters James, 8, Inez, 6, Betty, 3, and a baby born in Feb. 2023, with wife Blake Lively. The Gossip Girl alum announced the arrival of their fourth baby in a casual way, posting before the Super Bowl that she’s “been busy” along with a picture of her no-longer-pregnant body. 

    She also joked about the “glamorous” life of motherhood before the Met Gala in May, posting a picture of her pumping breastmilk in the bathroom set to “Glamorous” by Fergie and captioned “First Monday in May.”

    In a Feb. 2023 interview with CNBC’s Power Lunch, Reynolds joked that his house with four kids is like a “zoo.” 

    “It’s a zoo over here,” the Spirited star said. “This is my office here and to be honest I’ll probably spend the rest of my life in here!”

    He added, “Everybody’s doing great. Everybody’s actually doing fantastic. I think if we hadn’t figured it out by now, I think we’d be in deep, deep trouble.”

    In an interview with ET Canada in April, he talked about the transition from three to four kids. “You know, two to three was a huge jump… three to four less so. I cannot speak for my wife, but it’s just from what I’ve observed,” he said, adding,  “You know, we would be idiots to do this again if we didn’t love it.”
