Camila Cabello health: Singer reveals struggles with mental health and what helps

Camila Cabello bravely opened up to her fans about her mental health struggles and posted a heartfelt note on her social media account. The “Señorita” songstress wrote: “I used to live so much in my head, constantly trapped in my overthinking and being in my head as opposed to the present moment and lately just going back to my breath and focusing on it puts me back in my body and back in the present and helps me so much.” The singer uses meditation which she previously didn’t realise was linked to breathing technique, and how much of a difference it could make. After trying it out she has noticed a vast improvement in the quality of her life.

Anxiety is a feeling of unease, such as worry or fear that can be mild or severe.

Some people find it difficult to control their worries and experience their feelings of anxiety become more constant which affects their daily lives.

The most recent Psychiatric Morbidity Survey indicated that there are some six million people in the UK who suffer with mental health issues, including depression.

When used properly, meditation allows a person to slow down and observe the world without judgement.

It can also help reduce worrying thoughts and brings about a feeling of balance, calm and focus.

Camila recently gave an important tip to her loyal fans and literally used her platform to remind everyone to be kind to yourself.

She spoke to audience members at her Miami Beach concert and said: “Don’t be mean to yourself as it only makes things worse”.

The singer broke down during her speech and said: “I think that I have struggled so much in the last few years with anxiety.

The way you talk to yourself in your head is so, so important that I just wanted to remind you in case you needed to know it, to be kind and be loving to yourself and talk to yourself the way you talk to your best friend.”

Symptoms of anxiety include feeling restless, worried, have trouble sleeping or concentrating, dizziness or having heart palpitations.
