Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna is pretty much a content queen. She’s not only known for saying exactly what’s on her mind (“you better believe I’m gonna talk about it” *sips tea*), but she’s kinda #goals when it comes to the workout game, too. If you follow her on Instagram, you’ll see she’s been having all the fun she can during quarantine and sharing her active lifestyle along the way.

From yoga to ~jazzercise~ to making the most iconic TikTok dances in the world, this woman literally does it all. And because I love trying celeb workouts, I thought it was time to give the ways of Lisa (or as her cast mates on RHOBH call her, ‘Rinna’) a try. The best part? You can do all of these exercises while social distancing. And let me tell yah, after sweating like Lisa for a week, I’ve got a new respect for the way she stays so damn fit.

Workout 1: Yoga

Lisa’s main workout is yoga. She told Us Weekly that it’s basically her “life savior,” and that she’s been practicing for over 26 years. “I do many workouts and I go through lots of different things,” she says “but I think most consistently practicing yoga has been the most helpful.” Oh, and BTW, not only does fitting in a yoga sesh make her sweat, but it also keeps Lisa sane while she films RHOBH. Understood! Naturally, that means I had to tackle a little #yoga for the first workout of my series. Let’s get started

If you haven’t heard of the YouTube’s Yoga with Adriene by now, I’m about to put you on to something huge. Adriene is a ‘yoga YouTuber,’ and she offers tons of breath-focused, body positive, **free** workouts on her channel. Her videos are suuuper calming, which Ithought Rinna would appreciate since she uses yoga to chill TF out. I chose to do Ardriene’s ‘Yoga for Vulnerability’ class (’cause let’s be real, Lisa gets vulnerable as hell when she let’s the world view her entire life on reality TV), rolled out my yoga mat, and got to work.

Adriene leads viewers through a bunch of grounding stretches like downward dog, deep lunges, and child’s pose, and my entire bod just felt super relaxed the whole time. I’ve been doing more running-based workouts since quarantine started (and I’ve been extra stressed, hah), so this video was perf for helping me let go of any tension I was feeling and for getting the lactic acid buildup out of my legs and arms. Basically, the class was just what I needed and I think Lisa’s yoga-loving self would approve.

Workout 2: Jazzercise

Following Lisa on Instagram is quite the treat. She’s been posting throwbacks of her old 2008 jazzercise videos called Dance Body Beautiful on her feed, and fans are loving every second of them. Lisa told Parade that she discovered jazzercise at age 16, and she eventually fell in love with Jane Fonda’s workouts, too. So yeah, while I’m not sure whether or not jazzercise is still incorporated into Lisa’s regular routine, it was clearly a major part of her life at some point and, therefore, I *needed* to give it a try.

I literally searched ‘jazzercise’ on YouTube and clicked one of the first videos that popped up on my screen. It was a 20-minute workout called ‘Fit and Physical’ from 1986, and let me tell you, the outfits were *incredible*. I wish I had a wardrobe fit for replicating them.

I feel like people usually make fun of jazzercise but honestly, that sh*t had me winded. You’re moving around, waving your hands and feet and doing little sprints for the entire workout. Like, you’re literally never stagnant. I was sweating within the first few minutes and even though I looked *absolutely ridiculous* doing it (and I think my boyfriend considered breaking up with me, lol), I had a freakin’ blast.

Workout 3: Torch’d by Isaac Calpito

Madeline Howard

Lisa is all about taking Torch’d by celebrity trainer Isaac Calpito classes. She’s been promoting his workouts from her account, and in one Instagram story she even showed off her toned AF booty with the caption “this is my ass after 6 weeks of his class.” Cheeky! So while I can’t take part in sessions IRL right now, Calpito has made it veeery easy to keep up with his workouts during quarantine by posting tons of videos on his IG. I picked a random one from his feed and got to work.

This. Was. Hard. As. Hell. Calpito is a literal machine. He does not stop moving during the entirety of this Pilates-and-dance mixed workout. I like to think I’m pretty athletic, but I honestly could not keep up with his moves and had to take more breaks than I’d like to admit during the length of this vid. My abs and arms were absolutely burning, and my boyfriend looked at me in pity as I collapsed on the floor and said “I don’t have the energy for this” once I finished.

Workout 4: TikTok Dancing

Live love dance like Lisa Rinna.@womenshealthmag #lisarinnaworkout #fyp #canttouchthis

Lisa is a dancing queen. She’s busting moves in pretty much all of her IG posts, and she’s recently been veeery active on TikTok. There’s no rhyme or rhythm to her dances (which I love), and her music taste doesn’t discriminate. (The woman jams out to Harry Styles and MC Hammer alike.) By the time I got to my final workout I was V tired. So I decided that busting out some TikTok dances like Lisa would be the perfect choice.

Anyone who tells you TikTok isn’t hard is freakin’ lying. The app isn’t that easy to use (IMO, but I guess I’m old now) and when I compared my dancing to Lisa’s moves I was kinda like, aw, how cute of me to try and be like her. That said, I had fun with it and I broke a sweat from all my jumping around. Making up dances was also just a nice way to get out my jitters from sitting and staring at my laptop all day.

So now that I’m an expert on all things working out like Lisa, I can definitely recommend copying her routine with full confidence. She just knows how to make exercise fun. And you know what? We could all use a little extra of that right now. TTYL my bbs, gonna go watch some RHOBH.
