Restaurant owner Nusret Gökçe became known by another name when footage of his signature seasoning move blew up online a couple of years ago, earning him the internet moniker Salt Bae. The steak chef’s slick style, coupled with a muscular, protein-fueled physique, soon led to a loyal social media following, and he regularly shares updates from his life, both in the gym and the kitchen.

While on a trip to Mykonos, Gökçe recently posted a carousel of images with his lean torso and shredded abs on full display, as he opened up about how his training regime is an important part of his life. He also shared his email address, inviting his 36.5 million followers to send him footage of their own workout routines.

“Whenever you are whatever you do you can always train. No excuses,” he wrote in the caption. “Record the video of your outdoor or indoor training and send to [email protected] I will post it! Be creative! Use stone, elastic ropes, any equipment does the job… important is to start your trainings! Let the oxygen flow through your veins! I will watch all of them! Let the power be with you!! You are inspiring me!”

When it comes to his own workouts, Gökçe generally favors cardio and conditioning workouts that he can do even while traveling. “I prefer boxing and body-weight work,” he told GQ back in 2018, at the height of his viral fame. “It gives me the definition and core strength I want. A lot of jumping rope, ropes, anything to not only stimulate muscle but also keep me quick. I have to be fast in the kitchen.”

He added that his passions for food and fitness “go hand in hand,” saying: “I have to fuel my body to work out, and work out to eat the food I love... No meal should make you feel guilty if you eat healthy and exercise regularly.”
