Nick Cannon’s kids are finally getting to do some family bonding with their half-siblings — two of them are, at least.
On Monday, the dad of 12 shared a few sweet photos of his eldest sons on Instagram. Cannon treated Moroccan, 12, whom he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey, and Golden Saigon, 6, whom he shares with Brittany Bell, to a boys’ lunch at Five Guys — there’s nothing like a little father-son time!
The first photo shows Moroccan making a surprised face as his little brother wraps him in a hug, and the second shows both boys smiling while embracing. Golden is beaming up at his big brother with a look of pure idolization, and their identical hairstyles make the scene even more adorable. Cannon captioned the post, “Brotherly Love!”
Bre Tiesi, who shares 1-year-old son Legendary Love with The Masked Singer host, showed her support of the blended family moment in the comments. “Aweeee that look tho 🥹🫶🏼🥰,” she wrote, leading us to believe she’s not one of the resistant mothers Cannon referenced in his recent podcast interview bomb drop about his kids not knowing one another.
That’s right: the 12-time father revealed that while some of his kids have met — and not all of them have — they haven’t been explicitly told that they’re brothers and sisters.

As If the Family Dynamic Couldn’t Get More Intense
During a June 2023 episode of Dr. Laura Berman’s The Language of Love podcast, Cannon shared the shocking information about his children. He began, “In your dream world, regardless of whether you’re romantically involved or not romantically involved with the mothers, all your children will know each other. All of your children will come together, go on trips together or outings together.”
Revealing the fact that his 12 kids have never been in the same place at once, and that some of them have never met, and even those who have were not told they’re siblings, the Drumline actor said, “As much as that may be a wish of mine, I’ve got to respect that’s not a wish of everyone’s. … Because they’re currently under their mothers’ jurisdiction, I’m trying to play by the moms’ rules.”

Golden Is Catching On
Cannon also revealed that 6-year-old Golden has been catching on to the fact that he has more brothers and sisters than he was led to believe — which is likely why the dad of a dozen got him together for a playdate with his big brother.
“I think he’s kind of already figured it out,” the former America’s Got Talent host shared. “He knows he has other siblings. Even within his own house, he’s not an only child.” Cannon continued, “He knows about his older siblings. He’s been around the younger ones. He’s been around them, just nobody talks about it. It’s not like, ‘This is your brother or your sister.’”

The Eldest Are In the Know
Additionally, Cannon shared that Moroccan and his twin sister Monroe are fully aware of their baby brothers and sisters. With the 12-year-olds and Golden being privy to their family dynamic, it makes sense that a natural starting place for the much overdue sibling bonding would be between these three of the dozen.
In addition to his and Carey’s twins and his son Golden, the entertainment multi-hyphenate also shares son Rise Messiah, 9, and daughter Powerful Queen, 2, with Bell. He’s dad to 2-year-old twin sons, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, as well as daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, 7 months, whose mother is Abby De La Rosa. Cannon also shares 1-year-old son Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi, 9-month-old daughter Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole, and late infant son Zen and 6-month-old daughter Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott.
We hope for the kids’ sake that Moroccan and Golden’s brotherly bonding is just the start of many playdates to come between the gaggle of Cannon children. If not, it may be a major point of contention for the kids the older they get.
