  • Halle Berry, 54, showed off her toned abs while rocking bikini bottoms on Instagram.
  • The actress previously shared her core workouts in an article for Women’s Health.
  • Halle says MMA workouts and weighted exercises helped take her abs to a new level.

Spring is this close to being here, and Halle Berry is already sharing the sunny vibes in a new Instagram post that’ll have you dreaming of warmer weather.

In the post, the Bruised actress, 54, casually shows off her toned abs while rocking belted, tropical print bikini bottoms and a T-shirt that says, “Kind people are my kinda people.” In the caption, she wrote, “Sunday feels more like this kinda day … no?” So true, Halle. So true.

But while Halle’s messaging is on point, it’s kinda hard not to notice that her abs look amazing. You don’t see a ton of them, but what’s peeking out under her knotted tee is definitely toned.

“Stunning 🔥🔥❤️❤️,” one fan wrote in the comments. “Bless u & your perfection 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏👏,” another said.

ICYDK, the John Wick 3 star works hard for those abs. Last year, she wrote an essay for Women’s Health breaking down exactly how she keeps her core strong. For Halle, mixing things up has been clutch. “If there’s one thing I’ve learned throughout the years, it’s that you have to constantly switch things up—otherwise you don’t see change or definition,” she wrote.

And, while the Kingsman: The Golden Circle actress said she’s done her “fair share” of crunches and sit-ups, martial arts has really helped push her core to the next level. “Depending on the week, between 30 to 50 percent of my workouts focus on mixed martial arts (MMA) like jiu jitsu, Muay Thai, and capoeira,” she said. “When you’re practicing MMA, you’re using your core the whole damn time. You’re constantly bracing, twisting, and ducking. It’s a recipe for really strong abs.”

Halle also said that when she was preparing for her movie, Bruised, she devoted 15 minutes a day to working on her core. “I did sit-ups holding a medicine ball or dumbbell, leg raises wearing ankle weights, and hollow holds with dumbbells or wrist weights and ankle weights,” she said. “The extra resistance made all of my already-hard workouts even tougher, and, little by little, I developed more defined, hardcore abs than I’d ever had before.”

While the former Bond girl isn’t devoting as much time to her abs right now as she did during filming, she said a lot of the general strength training she does, like weighted step-ups with dumbbells, wrist weights, or ankle weights help work her core, too.

Um, yeah. This kind of thing will do the trick:
