Dirty air will cause miscarriages

Precipitating factor in the phenomenon of miscarriages in pregnant women may be exposure to polluted air, – this was stated by American scientists from the University of Utah. According to experts, this plan is dangerous even brief exposure to contaminants.

“And a short exposure to contaminant particles contained in the air can have serious effects on the body of a pregnant woman and cause miscarriage. The risk of losing a child this increases by 16%,” stated the researchers from the United States.
Before coming to this conclusion, researchers analyzed cases of treatment post-miscarriage women over the period from 2007 to 2015. All in all they were considered data on 1300 women.

The frequency of miscarriages specialists correlated with the levels of ozone, nitrogen, and particulate matter (PM2. 5) contained in the air in those days, which preceded the appeals of women for medical assistance. In the result, it was found that the polluted air actually plays the role of provocateur miscarriages in pregnant women.

“Air pollution increased the likelihood of miscarriage by 16% over the next 3-7 days” – calculated by the authors of the project.
They recalled that the preliminary investigation was set: a dirty air threat for almost every organ of the body and can provoke the appearance of abnormalities of the lungs, heart, and increases the likelihood of birth defects in children and the birth of premature babies.
