The number of confirmed infections with Sars-CoV-2 increased up until the Wednesday just before midnight (local time) worldwide, about 1.4 million, as data from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore showed.
The website of the University is updated on a regular basis and therefore shows a higher level of confirmed infections as the official Figures from the world health organization (WHO) and the US health authority CDC.
In the United States died in one day, almost 2000 people after infection with the Coronavirus. With exactly 1921 dead within 24 hours, this was the highest rise in a day since the beginning of the crisis.
Nearly 13,000 people died in the United States so far, after infection with the Virus Sars-CoV-2. The number of known infections was Johns Hopkins, according to well-399.000.
Among the hardest hit by lung disease-Covid-19 affected countries, the University registered the highest percentage of Corona-dead relative to the population previously in Spain and Italy.
In both countries, about 27 people per 100,000 inhabitants died of the Virus. In Germany there were 2.2 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, in China around 0.2.
