- In her newest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper removes a bunch of skin tags from a man’s armpit.
- Skin tags are soft, benign, skin-colored growths that hang from the surface of the skin.
- Turns out, even Gwyneth Paltrow, who commented on Dr. Pimple Popper’s post, is a fan of pimple popping.
Every once in a while, you get a surprise when you watch Dr. Pimple Popper’s videos. No, I don’t mean the surprise squirt of a juicy cyst (though that definitely happens), I mean you get to see things that aren’t even pimples at all—like skin tags.
In her latest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper tackles tons of tiny skin tags (as opposed to one huge cauliflower-like one). “I’m gonna pop some tags… #skintags that is,” she captioned the video, to the tune of Macklemore’s “Poppin’ Tags” (you know you sang it to that tune in your head).
In case you’re not familiar with them, skin tags (aka acrochordon) are soft, skin-colored growths that hang from the surface of the skin on a thin piece of tissue called a stalk, according to the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.

The video shows a closeup of a body part that’s hard to ID, though I’m assuming it’s a man’s underarm, since that’s where skin tags typically show up, per the AOCD. (Also important: Gwyneth Paltrow, of Goop fame herself, commented on Dr. Pimple Popper’s video, asking what body part this was happening on).
“You want to get these off,” the doctor can be heard saying, as she casually snips skin tags off a man’s body. And there are a lot to snip—the man must have at least 50 of them concentrated in one area. As Dr. Pimple Popper and the patient causally discuss his grandkids, she just snips away, wipes off a little blood, and then goes in for the next one.
Apparently the patient is feeling no pain, because he just hangs out while she cuts off his freaking skin. All’s well in the end, though: The doctor shares a still of the patient’s skin (turns out, it was his armpit) that’s now skin tag-free. “All healed up!” she wrote over the pic.
This was pretty tame as far as Dr. Pimple Popper videos go, but strangely soothing. Think of it like ASMR, Dr. Pimple Popper-style.
